Shaun Brown
Founder, Head Coach
Played 181 Premier Cricket first grade games for Hawthorn and South Melbourne. Amassed over 5000 runs (six centuries) with a highest score of 200 not out. Shaun has been a professional coach for the past 40 years where he has taken over 30,000 individual coaching sessions, he also coached Premier Cricket team Casey/South Melbourne for three seasons.
Navdeep Rai
Staff Coach
Nav is a former SBCC student who has a long association with our team. Initially employed as a clinic coach he has graduated to Winter Warriors coach. He is a talented player who plays at Premier Club Essendon and has a methodical approach to his coaching with his studies in Bachelor of Sport Science and Masters of Sport & Exercise Science.
Damien Bonner
Staff Coach
Damien is a tremendous addition to the coaching staff at SBCC. He started his association with us as a coach on the holiday camps then he took control of several camps as the coordinator. Now that time permits he has joined the team of SBCC staff coaches taking one to one sessions. A well travelled coach who was voted coach of the year for the work he did with Central Highlands pathways teams, he has also been apart of the Premier Cricket system as the Pathway coach at Essendon CC and is now currently at VSDCA club Coburg CC
Angus Webb
Winter Warrior Coach
Angus Webb is a former regional Victorian player who plays premier cricket with Greenvale Kangaroos. He is a former student of SBCC and coached on our summer camps before taking on the role of Winter Warrior coach. His knowledge and dedication to coaching is a great asset for all students who work under him.
Bill Bannon
Winter Warrior Coach, Camp Coordinator
Bill is a dedicated coach with a wealth of knowledge gained from years of involvement in cricket. His coaching style emphasizes technique, discipline, and strategic thinking. Bill’s approachable nature and commitment to player improvement have earned him respect from players and peers alike. Whether working with juniors or seniors, Bill ensures every player leaves the session better prepared for their cricketing journey.
Vihanga Fernando
Staff Coach, Camp Coordinator
Over the past three years, Vihanga has coached at Shaun Brown’s Cricket Coaching with great energy and passion, helping players build their skills and confidence. He currently plays Premier Cricket for Essendon Cricket Club and has also gained valuable experience playing in England and Darwin, giving him strong knowledge of adapting to different conditions and competing at a high level.
