Year-Round Development
Take your cricket skills to the next level with the SBCC Academy, now expanded to offer support all year! Perfect for players aged 7–11 (junior) & 11-16 (advanced), this comprehensive program is tailored to provide year-round coaching and match preparation led by Melbourne’s best coaches. Best of all you do not have to do all sessions and can add the sessions that best suit you.

- Winter Academy Training (May–October 2025)
Winter Academy Training
Personal Coaching: Receive ten one-on-one coaching sessions with Melbourne’s top coaches.
Group Training: Participate in eight Sunday morning sessions at Clever Cricket Thomastown from July 26 to September 13, 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Each session focuses on specific skills to prepare you for the upcoming season.
- Spring Academy Full-Scale Match (September 2025)
Location: Shepparton
Event: Compete in a 40-over-per-side match on the AFL Grand Final public holiday, providing a practical application of your enhanced skills
- September Holiday Specialist Sessions (September 2025)
Location: Clever Cricket, Thomastown
Dates: Wednesday, September 23 & Thursday, September 24
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Choose two of the following focus areas:
- Spin Bowling
- Fast Bowling
- Batting Foundations
- Batting Against Spin
- Advanced Batting
- realCricket Matches (October–November 2025)
Format: Engage in three full-scale matches adhering to senior cricket rules—no retirements for batsmen, and bowlers have maximum overs.
- Winter Warriors Academy features 2025/2026
- May– Induction night (from Test player), winter uniform (track suit and shirt) and lecture
- May- October– 10 personal one to one sessions.
- July – UK tour (16 days)
- July – September – 8 sunday morning academy net sessions (90 minute sessions)
- September Holidays– 2 specialist sessions of your choice in the September holidays (4 hours)
- September AFL grand final – Spring Academy full scale match (40 overs per side)
- September Holidays – 4 day tour of Perth
- October – Nov – realCricket full scale matches x 3
- December – New Zealand 10 day tour
- December 21,22,23 – 3 Day Graduate program featuring up to 6 former Test players.
- Optional extra- February – April – Additional (optional) one to one sessions until season end.
- April 2026 – Tour of India
- Optional extra- Access to Clever Cricket indoor centre including nets, bowling machines and the exclusive Dartfish computer coaching program for $12 an hour! (unlimited)
- Membership of Clever Cricket Indoor Centre in Thomastown
- Optional extra- First option on tours to NZ, India & UK!

Additional Benefits and Optional Extras
- Thomastown: $52 per 30-minute session.
- Unlimited Bowling Machine and Net Hire: $10/hour at Clever Cricket.
- One-to-One Coaching: Available February–April for an extra fee.
- Tours: First option on tours to India, New Zealand and the UK .
